We hope you enjoy surfing around our site. We tried to develop this web site for all students, parents and visitors to be inspired and educated about our studio and the martial arts.
We provide training of the mind, body and the indomitable spirit. A whole body workout, inside and out.
We believe the practice of the martial arts will have a positive impact in every aspect of your life.

The foundation Martial Art of AVFK is Tang Soo Do. "Tang" refers to the T'ang Dynasty of China which reflects the shared cultural background between China and Korea (617-907 AD). "Soo" means hand, and "Do" means way of life. This is a korean style karate. This ancestral art can be traced back approximately 2,000 years. Tang Soo Do's philosophy is rich in traditionalism, integrity and honor. It is a very humble martial art. It is not practiced to inflict violence but taught to avoid conflict and to protect oneself.
| | Our Studio is filled with the best people in Connecticut. We would not be the great place we are without them. Students and their families bring their individual talents and abilities. Whether they are a brand new white belt student or a senior ranked black belt, everyone has the same goal of showing that AVFK the best martial art school. Not just #1 in a tournament, but #1 in integrity.
We are a family owned business that is a family oriented studio. We promote student/family togetherness. We need everyones to be involved and help and to be involved so that we can gain the optimum success with the training and the running of the studio events.
There is a special bond that is achieved between family members that practice the martial art together. It's especially great to see the honor and respect between a child and parent when the child holds a higher rank than the parent.
It's a great way to live by example. |
